Post Modern Thought | Science and Technology

We live in a society exquisitely dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science and technology.

~ Carl Sagan, American Astronomer, Writer, and Scientist

A million steps ahead…

…people are almost universally unprepared to respond to the vanguard art of our present age. They are indeed unprepared, almost as if they belonged to an earlier century, to acknowledge it as art!”

~ Arthur C. Danto

The only constant is change…

Conceptual art was always dialectical, being made in response to both its institutional and its political context, attempting often to make these contexts evident and sometimes actually to change them.

~Tony Godfrey, Art Writer/Historian

Living with this man was difficult. I can't and won't lie. He was one of the most enigmatic people in my life. Challenging to understand, difficult to please, always the critic, and extremely masculine. But he picked me up every day from school until I got my license, made the best corner beef hash (ever), and cried at my college graduation (NEVER ever saw him cry...EVER)! He taught me how to drive in San Francisco rush hour traffic and parallel park uphill! He taught me how to catch a ball (with my back facing traffic to make sure I caught the ball...who does that?!?!). He sang like an angel (even though he was far from one), danced with so much soul, and played guitar so beautifully. I'm convinced he had the inner strength of 10 human beings, a wit and charm that could sell a heater in Arizona heat, and a smile that seemed to make my sadness dissipate. I am what I am because of you. Miss you. Love you...see you one day, Dad. Happy Father's Day! The night is young...join us. #music #sanfrancisco #nightlife Looking forward to hanging out with dear friends listening to some damn good music #sanfrancisco #music #nightlife I don't know about you Womyn have ALWAYS been able to sh*t on their own.
