I'm trying to catch up on my blogging! There is SO much to post, which I will be working on today. I can't wait for the day where I'm paid to look at, experience, and write about art. That will be the day. For now, I'm still feeling awfully fortunate for everything I have.

Regarding your comment on the contemplative life, I definitely think there's a lot of value in introspection and familiarization with the mind. Currently, I'm making my way through Jonah Lehrer's book, Imagine: How Creativity Works, and he discusses the value of daydreaming! Overall, the conference was wonderful and I really look forward to going next year.

For now, back to work on the blog and other writing assignments! Thanks again for all of your wonderful and thoughtful comments! :)

After having read your synopses I'm looking forward to another treat.

As regards your perspectives on meditation and life, I think all of the above historians, philosophers, and scientists concord. Especially the neuroscientists, e.g.,

(If you were hooked up to ultra-sensitive wireless electrodes throughout the day, more alpha activity would be registered on a graph at those times when you're immersed in beauty or surrounded by nature.)

And those experiences would look kindly on you.
